Well, frankly speaking, I was simply seeking something to fill time. In this game, something casual and not too competitive. I was interested in a mindless but involving game I could immerse myself in between classes. Moreover, one day I happened to listen to the trailer that found me immediately. It depicted a skeleton lord who raises monsters, casts dark spells and commands an army that looks creepy. The name popped up Lord of Nazarick. There, I knew literally nothing about the Overlord anime. Somehow, everything about the art style, the background music and the magical power of the characters intrigued me.

My Gameplay Experience

when I first opened Lord of Nazarick, I thought it was just another basic phone RPG meant to kill time. However, as soon as the opening cutscene happened, everything shifted.

The music? Epic and chilling to the bone.

The animations? Much sharper than I thought.

Even the tutorial did not make me fall asleep it really seemed like I was learning something, which is unusual.

Once that was completed, the game sucked me in.

Combat takes place on a turn-by-turn grid, but things never slowed. The pace at which battles occurred was fast and that kept me glued. I began to fool around with the various characters, and yeh, I lost, big time. That was part of the challenge, though; instead of becoming angry, I wanted to improve.

I unlocked Albedo on the Day 2. She is a fierce demon queen as you would imagine her, strong, beautiful, lethal. After a while, after matching her with a tank and a healer, my team started to work. It was the first time that I realised how far squad tactics could extend.

The other huge advantage of the upgrade system is easy. Moreover, no strange over over-complicated menus or convoluted gear stats. You do not need to grind or spend days difficulties watching tutorial after tutorial to improve. Therefore, performance wise is Buttery smooth. The phone I am using is a mid range android phone and there was no lagging. However, controls are perfectly finished, the graphics are clean, and the game managed to start in a few seconds. To enjoy the game I did not require computer specs.

Final Words:

Even deeply i have played numerous anime-inspired games, this one is unique from the others. The game calm full of strategy, and rather on the dark side, but it never drags or becomes dull. Although the design honors the anime, it is unique and spectacular as a game by itself. Then those who like building teams or playing tactical strategy games will probably find this game as addictive as I did. Whether you’ve never heard of Ainz Ooal Gown or the Tomb of Nazarick, the game has plenty.

Would I recommend it?

Yes if you’re into the games that have narratives and strategic gameplay. When I have nothing else to do or a long travel time, I catch up by experimenting with various team builds.
